https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...lights/i7o2pTr https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...xi-lim/RqPggCq You should learn how to use TIS, particularly for electrical and component location information. Just go to this entry page (for English language) and enter the last 7 characters of your Vin. Save/Bookmark that page for YOUR particular vehicle in searching wiring, remove/replace procedures, functional descriptions of a system, etc: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/ Also, it is critical to provide Month/Year build date, model & engine of your vehicle if requesting information from others. I presume your indication in a post months ago regarding a "2008 BMW" pertains to this thread? George |

Basically what I was trying to was I was going to use my parking light as a the trigger for my remote wire to my amp. I didn't want to take apart the center console just to get to the cigarette lighter. But turns out my parking lamp only supplies 9v and my amp won't trigger unless it has atleast 12v. So I guess I'll just take apart the console tomorrow

or you could just tap a 12V circuit coming from the REM and keep all your wiring in the trunk.
cause that's a thing. again, newtis will tell you everything you need. chances are there's a circuit for the 12v socket back there that would be easy enough to activate if you don't already have it. it was an option. |

because I know for a fact that my 08 e91 has switched 12v in the cargo area. but you fail to provide the serial or year or build date, so nobody can help you. |

satellite radio prep or has satellite?
power to the sat module is 30G, goes to sleep with the rest of the car. fuse F18. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ts-connectors/ could tap the cd changer power, same terminal, sleeps with car. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ger/1VnXqGOe4g fuse f8. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4194 there's the location of the (should be) preexisting wires. put your vin in to be certain that's the right diagram. this pdf will tell you what is on the 30g terminals so you can go looking for the associated power wires for things you may or may not have to tap into. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...17&postcount=3 30g is the terminal that the rest of the radio shit is tied to, so if you get out of the car and then hop back in inside of the sleep timer, the amp will still be on. When the car sleeps, the amp will turn off. if the battery is dead, the amp will turn off. |
