I had SPTs, the only thing I liked about the tire was the price. Otherwise, stay away if your budget can allow you to.

Kumho has some good tires, SPT's are a discount tire much like the Generals..they work great for their price, but dont expect stellar performance out of the SPT model.

As far as the Ecsta MX, ive heard nothing but raving about that tire, and apparently theyre coming out with a new version of it soon as well

SPTs are a great tire for the price. They perform well in wet and dry and have a pretty good mileage rating on them, especially for the price. They are also fairly quiet for a lower priced wheel.

For your V710s, I'd recommend doing the Generals- they are one of our most popular options as far as packages go.

I used Ecsta MX for a while on my old WRX.

PROS: cheap, decent grip, not heat sensitive, comfortable ride, lots of void area for wet driving

CONS: sidewall could be stiffer, not as much grip as newer tires such RT615 and RE01R

I didn't regret buying the tire, but I would not buy again. I was much happier with the Falken RT615 I replaced them with

Go to tirerack and check out the reviews by similar drivers, i.e. 3ers or all bimmers or 3ers plus other sedans of similar weight and RWD/AWD (C class, A4, etc.)

There are many models and types of Kumho tires. Which ones were you trying to inquire about?
