C&D Instrument tested Jaguar SVR

interesting, was waiting for this, BUT it had 22" all season tires on (who does that???).

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...r-first-drive/

So 0-60 in 4-1 seconds but 5-60 in 4.4
Stelvio Quad did 3.4 seconds and same 5-60 in 4.4 (so in a street start they would be equal)

1/4 mile SVR 12.4 vs Stelvio 12.0 (didn't someone time the X3M at a track in 11.7-11.8?)

of course without similar rubber and conditions these tests mean nothing (trying to compare one to another)

One more interesting thing, remember the whole weight issue with the X3M, BMW said 4620 lbs, and SVR was showing like 4350. Funny how SVR tested by C&D is 4655 lbs and I think IND weighed their X3M (with sunroof) at just over 4500 lbs. Alfa still the super light weight (if there is such a thing with SUVs) at just over 4200 lbs (tested by C&D).

Thanks, some funny figure discrepancies there.

Weights from different sources are not comparable since some weigh with driver, test equipment, fuel, etc., and others without. Quarter-mile differences similarly vary based on temperature, track, driver, etc. (I have never understood why anyone would care about a quarter mile time unless he intends to take the car to a drag strip or bragging rights are paramount.) 0-60 times, more relevant, vary also (Motor Trend got 3.7).

The C&D review seems accurate based on my test drive and research, and articulates many of the reasons I chose the Jag.
