low tire pressure warning
Today I noticed that my TPMS went off when I started my car. I resetted the tirepressure monitor and the warning light went away. The light never came back. Does that mean the tire is okay? Or does that mean the TPMS is now calibrated to a lower pressure tire?

No just means yout tire pressure is right on the bordeline.
The TPMS can interpret it as either. Not an exact science here. Why because its right on the borderline and not enough on either side to be ruled outright as one or the other. Just add air to it, thats all.

Err, what?
You recalibrated the system. It doesn't read how much air is in the tire. It reads the rotational speed of the sensor. All it knows is that the reading it is currently getting is what the driver said it should be reading. |
