E92 Back Seat Noise

When I drive with the back seats down there is no noise. When I drive with the back seats up I hear a clunk/rattle when on a mildly bumpy road. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Had the entire trim of the car replaced. Could I not have seated something properly? thanks

I experience some noise occasionally usually when it is cold in the mornings over bumpy roads.

Sounds like its latch related.

Dude I have the same issue as well. My right left seat makes noise when up. I look into the pillar but now that everyone says latches I might look into that.

I also have a front creak/rattle that's always there never was able to suppress...

This sounds different to what you're describing, but I had a rattle (or maybe more of a vibration sound) coming from my back seat. It wouldn't rattle/vibrate with the seats down. I stuck a towel in the back seat compartment that slides open and closed between the seat belts. (Not the one by the air vent.) The vibration went away. The weight of the seats when they were down on that compartment caused the rattle/vibration to go away. Worth a shot to try at least.
