Engine Mounts - are they bad? Can move engine 1 handed
So there is vibration, could be many things, but I'm just going over things 1 at a time.
Engine mount, the one easily visible from top looking down with a flashlight on the intake side. So I put my hand on the engine cover and pull/push, not too much force, just trying to rock the engine one hand. The engine moves, the car does not. I look at the engine mount and I see the bottom of the mount obviously not moving, while the part coming out of the center of the mount is clearly moving. Seems almost like it is separate from the bottom part? That top metal part of the mount has some black rubber around it which sits inside of the bottom metal part, and that whole top part with that rubber is clearly moving. Should I be able to move engine like this one handed? Or is the mount destroyed.

Funny enough, the answer to this question, as complex as it may initially seem, can be answered by solving the age old question, “is water wet?”

If it looks like a duck & quacks like a duck, it's probably a busted motor mount.

Yes, it's manual.
Original new BMW brand go for 150, while Febi is 40, but 4 weeks backorder on some websites, seems like they do produce them still but in limited quantities. So I guess I need to replace them. They surely should be more stiff and not freely moving like this. Actually I will go check how it is on another car, just for comparison. But first I have to deal with 30E9 code and presumably clogged up NOX sensor.

I went to the other car (2005 E46) and pushed the engine 1 hand same force as before and the engine did not move at all, only entire car moved slightly, it felt like car and engine are one thing as I was pushing it. So that settles it for me, my E93 engine mounts are shot.
