vibration?
I'll try & keep this brief. 3 series msport 2010.
Travelled c.10 miles on 'A' roads to m/way. Drove c.6 miles at 60 mph, steering vibration. Reduce speed to 40 mph for c.5 miles, still vibrating but then vibration disappears, car handles perfectly so I continue journey without further issues. Return journey started 8 hours later, 4 miles on 'A' road, then onto m/way. Drive for c.6 miles, steering vibration, I slow to 40 mph still vibrating, then disappears. Steering heavy. Happens twice more as above then disappears. It's not a.road surface issue. Got home, physical check of tyres seem ok but notice front right hotter than front left. Vibration at times quite strong on both out & inward journeys. Any ideas? Going to get it checked.tomorrow but thought I'd ask on here in meantime. Thanks in advance. |

Next time it starts to vibrate, pull and check right front for extreme heat, as you probably have an intermittently sticking caliper. Been there, done that on two cars.
