Product Release: Hotchkis Rear Chassis Brace for your E9X

Upgrades the E92 factory aluminum under car chassis brace, with a high strength, steel, aero tubing design for superior chassis rigidity and good looks. Brace is intended to increase exhaust clearance by 3/8" for many popular aftermatket exhausts.

HP Autowerks, Inc. worked very closely with Hotchkis to expand the application to the E90's including the xi models(with aftermarket exhaust only).

In the case of the E90's, This brace will add significant chassis stiffening since they didn't come with a full brace like the E92's. And since E90's didn't come from the factory with this brace, two additional brackets and bolts are required to complete the installation.

In stock and ready to ship for the E90 and E92 with aftermarket exhaust!!!

Price is $350 with FREE shipping to the 48 states.
E90 installation kit is $66.19

Possibly a silly question....but how would this work with front and rear sway bars?

No cutting or drilling. All bolt on.

On the E90 335i an installation kit will be needed.

Please see the original post.

Here is a photo of the oem E90 brace vs the Hotchkis. The oem E90 brace is not really much of brace compare to the Hotchkis.

The second photo is the brace installed on the E90 335i.

We are still waiting for one component to arrive for the E90 installation kit, the everything will be ready to ship.

E92 owners, there is no wait, this brace will replace your oem brace.

We are waiting for more E90 installation kit to come in.

If you have an E92, the brace will bolt-on without any additional hardware.

I ordered my Hotchkis brace from Harold and finally got around to installing it today. It might take about 30 minutes tops to remove the OE brace and install the Hotchkis brace on an E92. Two bolts at the rear (18mm socket) and eight bolts (6mm HEX) up front need to be removed/reinstalled, all very accessible with Rhino ramps in back.

Comparing the OE piece to the Hotchkis part, you know there will be an improvement. The car feels more solid and planted in corners with less flex, a worthwhile mod I think. Also, if you have a custom exhaust there is a good bit more clearance.

If the car has less flex, the suspension is able to do it's job more effectively......so yea, better handling.

We drove on some agressive roads today for a few hours and the car does feel better, more solid. An additional benefit for me is that my bastardized Borla section 2 and Magnaflow section 3 required the OE brace to be modified for clearance, the Hotchkis brace bolted right on with plenty of room to spare.

This brace will fit both the sedan(with aftermarket exhaust only) and coupes. However, the sedans will require a installation kit.

335Xi fitment has yet to be confirmed.
