N43 injector coding
Hi everyone.
I have a 318i N43B20 engine and it misfires in the morning cold start after about 20 mins to 30 mins it then goes off, I fear this is a fuel injector issue as I've replaced the spark plugs and swapped the ignition coils and it misfired the same cylinder. After doing a bit of digging I've heard you have to re-code the injectors if you replace them but what about if you just take one out to inspect it and put it back or swap two around? Do you need to code them then? I'm slightly reluctant to take it to a garage immediately because they'll charge and arm and a leg prefer to know that the issue is with the injectors before I get them replaced and coded. |

Yes, you will need to code them AND replace the injector seals. My 118i also has the n43 and there was a recall done on the injectors a few years back, check with your dealer and see if your car was also on the list.
