MY07 without TPMS?

I have been researching and it seems that all MY07 335i's should have TPMS sensors. I do not. I only have the FTM system.

Will the TPMS sensors allow me to monitor my individual tire pressures through iDrive?

I just got my tires changed today and was surprised to find out that there were no sensors. I don't have Idrive, but was curious to find out if the new system is supposed to be way better or is it only the constant readout part that makes it better?

no.
your car does not have the receivers for the sensors.

its not a new system. the FTM system is actually newer, the TPMS system is based off the tech used in the previous gen (E38, E46) cars.

bmw switched to the older system for US bound cars as US law mandates directly monitored pressures as part of the TREAD act. the rest of the world still gets FTM.

Thanks man! That clears it up a bit. Mine must have just been one of the last ones in 07 before the change.

E90s and E91s got the change as of 3/07 production, along with the recentered oil temp gauge (n54 only).

E92s and E93s had TPMS from start of production (SOP)

That would make sense since I took delivery in Feb. 07. Kind of glad I don't have to worry about them sensors inside my wheels. As far as getting new rims goes anyway.

Right, so I know I have FTM only on my car.

My question is this - will adding TPMS sensors to the car allow me (after applying any applicable Progman flash) to directly monitor my tire pressure values via my iDrive display?

Thanks for all the feedback, btw!
