Suspensions Explained Simply For A Simpleton (Please)

Hello all,
Recently having problems with my 320ed (2015 70k) steering which is jerking and unstable on long motorway bends at 60mph+.
Now I've spent hours researching this very helpful forum to try and work out what the problem is likely to be. (bushes or arms etc so I can give some guidance when I book it in) [yes I'm tight].

In short, I get totally confused with suspensions because I've seen various terms used for the same components (I think).
I've been trying to match eurocarparts terms against realoem and then work out what's what on the car.

Any chance anyone can give me a really simple explanation of what the main suspension arms/bushes/components are likely to be that I should get checked ?

I've attached a photo....
Is....
A - Wishbone
B - Control Arm
C - Drop link / Anti Roll Bars
D - Steering rack

???

Don't laugh.
Thanks in advance!
James

A & B are both control arms, this is a dual link mcpherson strut suspension.

C is correct

D is the tie rod, which connects to the steering rack.

Thank you. I often read about control arm bushes failing.
Are the most common failures on A or B?

The "wandering" you're describing would point towards control arms.

Clunking over speed bumps is drop links.
