Log Dyno App Cool but not Accurate
Thought I would give this app a try, actually it's cool but definitely not accurate.
My car is a 2018 340i MPPSK with claimed 360 HP. Here is the result: |

Unfortunately I don't have a dyno around to confirm.
Although the car pulls really hard and will spin the wheels in 4th gear, TBH I doubt 420 bhp. Last edited by IMS-340C; 08-06-2019 at 08:52 AM.. |

How on earth does your car spin 4th gear?

Dude and you're asking about increasing your FD ratio???
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1635049 Idk if your streets are covered in sand or what but I hook 1st gear on stock wheels and tires. You shouldn't be spinning through 4th. |

Exactly...greased streets or thrashed motor mounts? Or maybe on 15s?

I definitely don't need more power in 1st and 2nd gear, here on most highways we don't have speed limit so I would like more acceleration in 5th and 6th gear and 7th gear when I remove the speed limiter.
No sand it's just the tarmac here is not sticky in most areas, the wheel spin in 4th gear only happens when I floor it at around 3000 rpm in 4th gear, accelerating from a dig is fine it only spins in 1st gear. My car is also RWD which doesn't help. Will try to post a video soon. For now here's a video of my car accelerating from 0 to 257 Km/h (GPS 250 Km/h), no launch control due to massive wheel spin. I should note that all modern BMWs speedometers indicate around 3% more than the actual speed. Quote:

Reminds me of my last track day when my instructor an I were challenging the racing line, and you could tell the difference in grip between the racing line and off the line. Hundreds of thousands of cars had beaten the racing line smooth that you end up having a nice, grippy, rough surface off the racing line and half of the time you could carry more speed. At least in the wet where the effect was amplified. |
