My baby... badly damaged...
Some asshat fell asleep driving, crossed into oncoming traffic and hit three cars, including mine. Luckily I swerved, or he would have hit me head-on. Of course, he has a shitty policy with a shitty insurance company - it caps out at something like $7000 for damages. So my insurance company is gonna do it's thing, I suppose. I'll let you all know what happens.
Here are some low-res shots from my phone. I'm sure I'll have some better pictures later. |

I know your pain...
I'm dealing with a hit-and-run from early this morning... good fun. Just thankful nobody was hurt and insurance will do what it's supposed to. Best of luck with your car

Thats a big hit...I see suspension damage . Sorry for your losses... whereabouts in Miami is that?
Well the good news is that dealers should be starting to open their order books for the upcoming e93

That's some serious accident. I'm glad you are OK. How fast do you think you and the other guy were at collision? Hope everything gets cleared ASAP.

As far as suspension damage... yeahhhhhh... some sort of spring/cable popped through the leather e-brake boot... so I'm sure there's all sorts of happy stuff going on down there. hah |

I had a bad accident once on US1 South and I believe 27th Avenue...near Casola's...I was driving a Rodeo at the time. Was going down minding my business and some drunk in a ford ranger made a sudden illegal u-turn and I hit him square on the side-rear (couldn't brake or swerve in time)...the thing that pissed me off was even after the impact he was still trying to run...but he couldn't as his right rear tire was under my SUV He couldn't / didn't get very far...

That looks totalled (from an insurance perspective).
On a related note, my wife totalled our E36 (flipped it over) and we used the insurance to get a new '00 E46 coupe similar to yours. Maybe this is a sign to get E90/E92 for you? Trying to put a positive spin on what is a horrible situation. Glad you're OK. |

As for him, he was probably doing 40mph as well, but if you look at one of the pictures you can see that he hit the rear wheel/fender/bumper of that white car in front of me... so he was probably doing less on impact as well. So I'm gonna reach deep up my butt, and answer you a healthy 60-65mph combined speed on impact. Sound okay? |

So sorry for your rotten luck. Glad you're okay, but I know how you feel. Best of luck dealing with all the bullshit that you'll have to go through. Hope everything comes out better than great for you.
