Odd AC Problem

I have a 2019 X3 M40i
Recently I notice an odd AC issue, not sure anyone have same issue.

AC work most of the time, but it happen couple times that after I start the car, turn on AC and driving, for whatever reason the AC will turn itself off.
I only notice when it getting warm. I go ahead and turn it back on and it will NOT turn off again.

It doesn't happen every time, and if it happen, I think it happen within first 10min of driving. After that when I turn it back on, it never go off again.

Anyone have similar issue?

Strange! When I collected my car the AC was on, and it’s always been on ever since, so it sounds like yours has a problem.

I have the exact same problem. It is about 5 to 7 minutes after driving. The ac turns off (the ac light stays on) and will blow hot air or Not cold air for about a minute or 2. Drives me nuts because I have to either deal with it for a minute or turn the temp down. I have tried to have it fixed dealer could not recreate.

Do you have it in Auto at a set temperature? I leave mine in Auto set at 72 with the fan speed on the center or middle speed bar. A/C light is always on.

I did not have it in Auto. I try but hated it.
I just set the temp and fan speed, and manually turn on AC.

Currently don't have time to take it to dealer, will see how it go for a bit longer

Maybe if it’s set to a temperature and fan speed (not auto) and the car reaches the Temperature desired it will compensate by warming the air to regulate the temperature displayed on the HVAC. It doesn’t necessarily turn the A/C off, but rather regulate the temperature through warmer air at the desired fan speed until it warms up enough, then when it goes over the desired temperature it gets cold again, and the cycle continues. Hence the reason why it will only spit out warm air for a short period of time. Just a thought but I keep mine on auto and never ran into this issue. My 2013 RDX would pop out warm air because the compressor would cycle off to save gas, but I don’t think that is what is happening here.

I don't use the auto function and have not run into an issue like you describe. I have it on a full blast and as cold as it can go during this time of the year here in Phoenix.
