Mhd lower cooling temps

Just wanting some insight. I love where in Missouri where summers are quite brutal with humidity and all. I know mhd has the option to target lower cooling temps which can help oil temps also. Was just curious if turning this option on will decrease water pump life or if it's safe and no I'll effects on the car itself.

It should be fine. It's actually the thermostat that primarily controls the temperature.
