Rear suspension creak after big impact

Took a very solid impact (over an unseen traffic island - don't ask ) on the rear right.

Everything appears tight after a quick inspection but there is a suspension groan. Shock mount looks okay to my untrained eye and can't see any leakage (yet). Car has done 62k (km)

Any ideas what to look at?

When are you hearing the noise? Highway driving, speedbumps, turning, etc?

Parked and when I stand on the rear sill and rock the car - have to put a bit of effort into it so the shocks seem to be working, no lack of damping or any clunk noise.

Also noticed it when I came to a halt and went into park.

(will take it for a drive tomorrow)

and you're positive it's not noise from a bit of movement between the wheel and rear parking brake? (Mine does this sometimes as my parking brake is a bit loose)

I did read a little about that and since I don't drive the car that much - didn't check but you are right. thanks!

No handbrake and no groan. More testing tomorrow but I now I have a convincing story for the primary driver (who thinks the wheel will fall off).
