Hey Guys , just done front pads / discs on 330i m sport . I didn’t replace the pad sensor . I now have the car on a lift symbol and brake symbol lit . Can I over ride this without replacing a new one to make dash lights go off ? Please help Thankyou

Car on a lift symbol means the annual inspection (mot in English) is becoming due, just go into the menu and reset the date for when the next mot is due.
Most likely just a happy coincidence getting that symbol after doing the brakes.

Yes you can join the wires or replace the sensor. Last time I did mine I joined the rear pad sensor and used a new front. Reset the pad life monitor and been fine since.

I didn't notice in your first post that you had a brake warning light as well.
Yes you could bodge it but sensors are cheap & if your capable of changing the pads, fitting a sensor shouldn't take you very long

As Chappers says genuine BMW sensors are cheap as chips so why not just replace it and have a useful feature of your car working rather than bodging something to fool the ECU?
What discs / pads did you fit? When I last did mine I was asked if I wanted a sensor as they are either worn out or you break them when removing them from the pad; which is what I did incidentally! |

maybe the garage broke the old sensor,,or its worn ,,i never let pads get very low so no need for sensor change,,but can still wear if brakes have bad inner wear which is hard to see,,id get a new sensor,,as said pretty cheap

Just seems strange that you do not want to spend a few quid on a brake wear sensor but you keep asking us if you should replace all of your coil packs when you don't even know if any of them are faulty |
