Of course it's a scam. And you'll see many more like them. They'll usually offer to ship the car to you w/ a BS excuse about why they're overseas and cannot meet you in person...........usually w/ an offer to return your money if you don't like it.

Well, some broad in Long Island a few years back sold her husbands brand new Jag XKR with 500 miles on it for $10,000! She found out the husband was cheating on her, so he just took the slip and passed the keys on to whoever was interested!!!

how does that work? if the couple is married and the car is in the guys name, she can legally still sell it?

Not sure what the logistics actually were... but at the end of the day, the guy got a near brand new jaguar for 1/10 of the price.

not true.... i've heard this story about 30 times all involving some cheating husband and some stupid wife who sells the dudes $100k sports car on ebay or craigslist or in the newspaper for like $1000 or some amazingly low price.

i've yet to meet ANY of these people who are the buyers of these car (usually the story goes that its some kids 1st car when he's 16 and worked all summer to save up).

If it was true, i think these people would be bragging their asses off... plus how is a wife gonna sell a $100k car unless she happens to have the title of the car in her name with her when its sold.

In a few versions I also heard the wife was smokin hot and would bang the kid in the car before she gave it to him.... yeah right.

I heard this story in some law class... i think the car was registered under her name (which her busband bought for her but only drove himself), and the buyer was something in his mid thirties...
