JB4+ MHD?
Hey so I know others have asked and Ive scrubbed thru those and havent really found an answer. I have an mhd license flashed on my 340i and a jb4 in my trunk. Should i sell the jb4 or is there any benefit to putting it on the car? I did see one release from bms showing my car make 461 WHP using this setup, however jb4 alone gave me rough, almost dangerous power.
Let me know what i should do with my jb4.

Seen the thread with the free JB4 back end flash maps? You load them via MHD. Real game changer. Gives you all the great smooth performance of flash mapping with the tuning features and mapping of the JB4.

That rough feeling was because the DME was restricted it no longer exists with the back end flash. If you're going to run meth or CPI then JB4 is a perfect tool to use.

Running a Pure stage 1 turbo, MHD BEF + JB4 map 7, BMS meth kit, catless dp, and intake with e30 blend and 100% meth... runs like a beast and very smooth. I like this combo because I'm able to control boost with JB4 and run meth. Anytime I want to boost 24-25 psi I bump up my additive and any time I'm traveling and I can only run 91 octane I lower boost to like 18 psi and hit the road. I'm almost certain later on BMS will have updated BEF files released at no cost as time progresses.

When you load the JB4 flash map under options you can adjust burbles or anything you want in there. The flash map allows the JB4 to run stronger more powerful versions of each of it's existing maps.

It's an amazing combo, and I would highly recommend it. Coupled with XHP Stage 3 tune, my car is destroying people on Meth. I pulled hard to 140+ on a newer M2. He didn't even come back to play, cool guy though. I am obsessed with the sleeper appeal.

For tuning advice you'd always want to look at the logs. The RACE WMI BEF is setup more aggressively so if you're having an issue with it post that in the BEF thread also, maybe they can tweak a version down for you so it's stronger than RACE but not so strong it causes whatever your issue is.
