X3 M40i 20% off: good deal?

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market to purchase a MY2019 X3 m40i off the lot. It's July 2019 so I am hoping for a good deal.

I have dealers that are offering 10.7% off MSRP of about $65K, plus the $3500 APR credit, the $1500 loyalty and a $1000 OL code. That's a total of $13K discount off $65K.

My one must-have is Driving Assistant Plus.

Do you think the discount is deep enough?

Also, do you think I should wait for August to possibly bring more incentives (there are 170+ m40i's within 500 miles of me, but only a handful with Driving Assistant Plus)?

Thank you! This is my first time purchasing a brand-new BMW; have done CPO and leases before.

the deal is good but you can push at least 2% off more from the MSRP
I closed mine with at almost 12% off MSRP and it was really hard to find the color and the package that I wanted
so you need to give up some % if you find the perfect car that you are looking for

I would bear in mind that there is potential that the 2020 Models (Starts build in August) will have new reiterations such as the new Live Cockpit Full Digital Dash, M sport steering wheel, and a possible horsepower increase from 355 to 382ish.

But if none of that concerns you then go ahead

Also needs to bear in mind (which OP is it seems), that deals are to be had on existing stock. Unlikely to get anywhere near the discount levels on a MY2020

agree
the new model is not going to be close to 12% off at least for the first months
current model you are getting in the sweet spot
and still not confirm how many changes are going to have the new model

Sounds good to me.

Path to happiness:-
1. Buy/Lease car on deal you're happy with
2. Never visit a forum or car website for about 3 years

Yup! And OL code can only be used for dealer stock cars. Ordered cars are not eligible and code will be rejected.

Discount is really good. And if you were leasing with the recently reduced MF rate, I'd say definitely go for it. However, you're buying so subject to depreciation. If you keep your car 3 years or so, expect the additional year of depreciation to cost you some portion of what you're saving today.

End of year deals are best taken advantage of (long term) with the aggressive lease deals. Depreciation is not your problem when you lease.

From everything I have heard in the last year, the US is expected to be about a 30ish HP increase to match the new 3 series, z4 etc... Mercedes just did the same HP bump as well to 385.

I hope that's just a software change and somehow us 2018 and 2019 folks can get our hands on it.

From my understanding, it's an entirely new engine, but who knows.

it is a discount that you get after attending an event organize by BMW in different cities
M tour is one example
this is for the us
and it is a incentive/discount that you can apply on-top everything you get from the dealer and from other incentives (loyalty, conquest, etc)

Update: close to getting the deal at 21% off. Will post more details once it's locked in.

If anyone is Socal-based, both Riverside and South Bay BMW are having events tomorrow for OL codes that *should* be good for any dealer.

Update: I got a CCA member's number. Thank you!
