MILEstones.....

So I finally hit 10K on the odo tonight while driving down to SD. It happened at Cannon Rd in Carlsbad. I got chills watching that extra digit come on. Anyone else remember any of their MILEstones in their E90? Or am I just NUTZ?!

I love this car!

......guess its time for that oil change.

oil changes were every 15k

scheduled...yes.

But most people here argue about when to do the first oil change...and how often to do it. Do a search...its a big freaking mess!

Anyways....I told my self that I would do it somewhere between 7500 and 10,000. So....I procrastinated in the confusion...but now its time!

Going to get it done tomorrow....my onboard still says 9K to go for the first oilchange...but no way I am waiting another 9K miles!!

oh yeah! That was a good one! I was so freaking paranoid up until that time! LOL! This was my first BMW...and I did not want to screw anything up!

I took a picture when i hit 1000 miles. I was on my way out to vegas last august. Right now i have 8000. Im gettin nervous for the big 10

Yep...its free SCHEDULED maintenance. So, according to the on board I had another 9K miles to go for the first oil change. There was no way I was going to wait until 19K to get the first one done.

So...I went to BMW of San Diego to get the first oil change done today. Here is the breakdown for everyone!

Filter : $12.08
Synthetic oil: $4.05/quart x 7 ($34.65)
Labor $25.43
Waste fee: $1.43
Tax: $3.43

Total: $77.22 --- 45 minutes for oil change and free car warsh

BTW....I saw Natureboy offered to do this for $20 if you bring all the materials on another thread! LOL! Thanks buddy...for offering to save me about $5.43 off labor!

10K in just under 7 months for me! Yikes!

At this rate...I am going to have to get the extended maintenance plan!
