I replaced the cerium mirror caps, kidneys and side vents with gloss black ones. I still have the cerium boomerangs, do I need to go all the way and replace those as well? My thought is at least they match the rims? Here are some pics.

Looks good! I would do the boomerangs too to complete the look.

Looks great, does need the ‘rangs as well in my opinion. Hopefully i’ll get my painted ones back soon!

You need to get rid of those horrendous orange reflectors. I hate that the US version have them. Are they required by law?

Looks good. I think you can go either way keep the grey or swap the boomerangs out too.

Probably. What I'm wondering is if you remove them, could you be found at fault in an accident that is not your fault?

I agree, I would like to black out the reflectors. I think it is illegal to do that but I doubt a cop would even notice or care but I'm not exactly sure what the law is officially.

I blacked out all my Cerium Grey pieces & badges and love the looks but it does have a certain pop with the silver.

I'd also highly recommend doing the front and rear reflector deletes as it looks so much better.

But those reflectors were the first thing that caught my attention. I can't wait to delete on mine. They're required here in CA. Not sure about AZ.

I don't know about the requirements here in AZ but it didn't stop me from doing it.

Mirror caps come off pretty easily.

Black is the only colour cerium looks good on imo, nice to break up the black a bit, unless you're a bit gangsta and like the "murdered out" look.

Use a plastic pry tool on the outer most corner, once you pop it out a bit you can then grab hold of it and yank it off quite easily.

New one just push on.

I have the BMW carbon fiber mirror caps on my X3 and love them, they are simple to install. I cheaped our at first and bought some on eBay but the fit was way off and the carbon fiber looked like junk. I ended up sending them back and bought the real ones. I am very happy with them.

Trust me, I was not thrilled to spend that much on them but after buying knock offs that didn't fit well at all and looked like garbage, I opted for the real thing. Buying those has made me postpone a couple of other things I want to do.

Looks good, and I tried the same thing originally. In the end, I changed the rangs too. I think you gotta go all black to finish the look. I even deleted my X3 badge and changed out the M40i badge to the gloss black from IND. Looks sick!

Thanks, I'm really happy now I've gotten rid of all the cerium bits.

I took the boomerangs off and got a paint shop to spray them, only charged me £20 bizarrely!
