A new car after 1200 miles
Let me preface this by saying I've been very disciplined about keeping my car under 4500 RPM and 100 mph. I've never gone above either in this car, but I was already pleased with the performance and sound of the engine, though it's much quieter than my previous high revving Acura.
On my way to work today my odo crept past 1200 miles. I pulled off the freeway and went to the next on-ramp through surface streets. From a rolling start I dropped the hammer and the only thing I can really say is holy shit. It is like a whole different car above 4500 RPM. I mean the exhaust note is intoxicating... |

one week since delivery, one (short) road trip and commuting miles I'm up to 600. I've religiously kept it below 4500RPM and have never used more than about 50% throttle. The car is still very fast in traffic. Also, if you drive conservatively you could do all your local surface street driving and never exceed 2000 RPM!!!
Cant wait to open it up more after the 1200 miles. sometimes I turn the (fantastic) stereo off just to listen to the engine when I'm accelerating from a stop...

patience, sblument. when you do finally hit 1200 it is so worth it. In hindsight it is actually better to save this for later. When you first get your car you are overwhelmed with all the other cool stuff it can do and how it looks...by 1200 miles you're starting to get used to how great everything is and then voila...floor it and make it scream. Logic7 is taking a brief vacation for now
