Mirrortap problems.

Trying to get Mirrortap done. Installed as instructed. Does not work. Noticed it doesn't go into my Radenso Pro M like the standard plug. Pic below. Mirrortap on left, stock plug on right. Did they send me the wrong plug?

Same plug I have on my mirrortap; juts a bit but works fine. I suspect the connections into the mirror may be loose. I had to use a little electric tape to hold in place.

Ok thanx. Back to the drawing board. I finally got the big piece off but don’t see how to remove the other two pieces so I can get a better view of the plug. Can’t seem to unplug it either (do you squeeze sides)? I jammed the appropriate taps into what appear to be the red and brown wire areas but looking at it from the side so obviously one or both not making contact. Will keep working at it.

My mirror tap kept coming loose. So I wired to fuse box. Really because service guy kept knocking it loose. LOL.

Need to be able to look at plug end on. How do you get it out or get second piece off?

Speaking of the service ppl screwing with the power connection. I used to have my a Valentine One powered in that area on both my E39 and E60 and when serviced, they would always disconnect the setup. I finally got tired of it and just ended up selling the V1. Turns out that I never got caught anyway and didn’t really miss it.

I had a hell of a time with mine too. Find the install instructions here somewhere and the lower pieces take some strength to get off. The connector will come off if you use a small screwdriver on one side and pull the other at the same time. Two very tight very small tabs hold it in place. Make sure the plugs have a good connection before putting plastic back mine slipped out and I had to do it twice!

The plug is right it is slightly larger than the stock one it sits out like half way. Seems like it wouldn't work but it does. Good luck and have patience!

It was a bear. Finally took all 3 pieces off and went through back of plug. Has worked so far. In retrospect, this was one I should have paid the hundred bucks and let somebody else do it. Not worth the time. But hey I was not going to be defeated and the final result is great.... Blendmount is great with the Pro M. :
