I ordered Apple CarPlay Preparation and I have my subscription booked till Nov 2022. Have not paid anything more than the price of the CarPlay option on ordering. Does it vary by market? I'm in the UK.

In the US ACP was a $300 option in 2018, which has changed to an $80 annual subscription starting with the 2019 models (the first year is free though).

The 2018 isn't USB, you have to get the OBD/Ethernet interface. Plus you get full screen.

Yes. My car is US specs and it's back in the US.

Just got it serviced. Many my settings were back to factory default and no more ACP...

Plus there's some weird browser app in my Conmwcted drive menu...

I thought the reason of the weird browser app was due to third party ACP activation?

I'm wondering cause if you had gone through the official bmw route, everything should be working and would be in dealer's purview to update it?
