Remote 3D View not working

It's been months since the Remote 3D View function on my BMW Connected App has worked. I called BMW and their customer service rep said the entire system is down and they don't know when it's coming back up. Is this the case for everyone out there? I deleted and reloaded the app, still doesn't work.

I'm in US - picked up new M40i Saturday and is not working. Remote ventilation, locks, last trip all not working. Fuel level and mileage is updating though.

...and i think it needs to be enabled in idrive. i do remember enabling something there, whether location, remote surround view, or maybe both.

I tried just now, and worked for me. It does take a few minutes to load. I am in NYC. the app can have trouble connecting sometimes, especially if your car is parked in a large parking structure.

3 d view

All functions for me work except 3 d view and when I use 3D view it ends up crashing the app- need to delete app and reload- "bmw genius " says - "we are working on it... can't say when it will be up and running"

Mine all works fine thus far. Sometimes it's a little slow but ends up working.

Works fine here: US west coast, iPhone X. Only issue is that the folded-in mirrors don't automatically unfold, despite the app telling me that they will. I'm thinking this is because I've pressed the button to fold them in; they're not set to automatically fold in when parked.

I've just tried it here in Scotland and it's working fine.
I was intrigued to see if the mirrors would unfold (only because I've never watched it before) and they didn't, even though mine are set to fold in automatically when parked.

Mine takes about 2 mins to refresh the view. I originally thought it wasn't working but now realise just have to be patient.

If you hit "Loading" at the bottom of the screen then it brings up this screen as it tracks the process:

So I called BMW again and they again told me 'the system is down and they don't have an ETA on a fix' but that they are diligently working on it. Said that it's affecting many but not all customers, nothing to do with my car or app. So i have no remote services of any kind. Sucks. Other than the half baked Apple Car Play integration, this has been the only disappointing aspect of my experience with the M40i.

Mine has been working; albeit very slowly. And only if I switch to the status screen and watch it go through each step without letting the phone sleep.

Update. Mine never worked since I bought the car. Last week I took it to the dealer and they had it 3 days trying to resolve this. Eventually they found the records at ATT (they provide the connection for BWM) has corrupt IP address record. When they fixed the IP address, the service started to work.
In my case, prior to the fix I could see mileage, MPG etc and even send a destination, but remote view/ ventilate/ lock etc would not work. Now all is fine, but yes it's still slow.

Connected Drive by all accounts is a poorly implements and buggy software which mostly doesn’t work.

Mine too displays mileage and location but nothing else.

None of the remote features or cameras work.

The annoying part is that for the first several months of ownership the remote app worked fine on all fronts, and now nothing. As for CarPlay, I only started using it once Google maps was integrated, but minor nits include no station/artist info on the Favorites menu of Sirius/XM, no HUD info at all from CarPlay, and connection that cuts out at times, but i'm getting used to all this. i also think the sound quality on sirius/xm is slightly worse on CarPlay than going through BMW's infotainment system but i haven't confirmed that.

I just did a refresh and as of 10:38, Virginia -- all is good. BTW, it just took about 1 min to refresh.
