Vrsf downpipe doesnt fit?
Hey
I got a VRSF downpipe for b58 and it doesnt fit right (ive installed downpipes before on my n54 and n26 and have good experience in terms of procedure and clocking them... I even used pipe expanders but it wont slide in all the way so I returned it). Did anyone have issues with this company and horrible fit? Im hesitant to give them another shot and would like recommendation Last edited by 340idude; 06-24-2019 at 03:47 AM.. |

Pretty sure I've only seen good things about their b58 products. I had their n54 dps and they were great.

VRSF has one of the worst fitment track records on the F30 platform, across multiple engines.
This has been going on for at least a couple years. I would run. |

Maybe there really is a reason Evolution Racewerks DP costs more. No issues installing theirs and the welds are a thing of beauty. Not too bad if you catch it on sale.

I just installed my vrsf downpipe over the weekend. Easy job and fitment was on point on my b58. I did read that a lot of others had fitment issues.

I had similar issues. We used a pipe expander rented from O Riley's as well as penetrating oil (I think thats what it was) to get it to slide all the way in.

My fitment was not good, it makes some wierd high pitched noise at 2.5k and then goes away past 3k

I found with the catted version, fitment was a bit of a PITA. Once connected to the turbo, I had a bear of a time getting the mid pipe in, and it ended up with their "flex couple" (in quotes since it doesn't flex, and that's 99% of the issue) rammed up against the vertical support. I'm guessing the non-cat versions might be a bit easier to get in.

Fitted the VRSF to my M140i without any issue. I put some lube on then gave it a good thrust in to the hole, a little bit of wiggling in and out and 30 seconds later it was done but no issues then or sense.
