That is a great video. It's certainly a good way to verify your claims and advertise the car. Just being able to show that to friends and say .. ya... that's my car... is worth a few grand. If I wasn't selling my 335, I'd go get that dinan package. I think with such subtle differences it would only be at the cars ultimate limits (pro driver on a racetrack) that you could ever find them. And realistically... none of us (pro drivers excluded) will ever get there on cars of that caliber. Besides, on the street I'll take torque of HP any day. Good luck selling

An important thing to know - running 100 octane gas, makes this (and any tuned or not tuned) BMW *very* happy. These numbers are actually a little low, but I didn't want to argue with anyone over them. The car has run on 100 Octane gas since it was tuned. There have been a couple CA shit gas fills. If using 91 Octane the power does drop. Dinan tests and publishes his numbers based on 92 Octane. One can infer from all that. It's not a linear increase based on Octane ratios.

Also, the engine oil cooler is pretty much a required option with the engine upgrade so it turns into 4k. That said, it is very nice to never worry about oil temps. I don't even look down any more at that gauge.

p.s. the 76 station that sells the 100 octane has actually been pretty good on pricing. He's been fair and prices the fuel based on the last time the truck came to fill up his tank. With that, the price of 100 has not been that much more than 91.

Well, here's the deal. Technically is absolutely does not void your factory warranty. BMW works with Dinan Engineering and they have an agreement that states this pretty clearly.

In real life - It's good to find a dealer that sells Dinan products, of which there are many. I live in Silicon Valley, Steven's Creek BMW has been awesome. They put in the sirius radio and it required a software upgrade to the car. They zapped the Dinan software. I went back and said "Can I have my Dinan software again?" They said, "Absolutely, sorry about that" and they flashed it right back in.

If you work with a dealer that gets grumpy about mods, it's really easy to escalate to BMW corp and have things taken care of. Steve will also work with BMW if necessary.

Thanks for the note, I dig them too. They are an inch wider (9 and 9.5) than stock and 19 inches vs 18 and they only weigh 20 pounds. In racing (WCTC) we got down to 20 pounds but with 17's.

The price reduction is an 'all in' price which include the Dinan wheels and the stock sport wheels and tires which have next to no miles on them.

A lot of people ask 'how much without the Dinan wheels'. This price reduction pretty much negates that question, especially since the other wheels and tires are included.

This is a pretty smokin deal. I figured if I was going to lower it, I'd just lower it, make it simple, and ideally make someone happy. Plus I took some pics as a lot of people were asking for those too.
