yeah dont do that. unless its has some sort of advantage over stock (i.e. m shifter- which is shorter or m steering wheel- which is beefier and nicer)
BTW its - "is it worth it" not "does it..." |

Falsly badging your car as an M and being a fan of all things ///M are different in my opinion and being a fan does not make you a poser. Putting an ///M shift knob, floor mats, door sills, dead pedal, head rests or steering wheel does not make you a poser... just a fan of great engineering.
BTW, in Canada (and elsewhere outside the US) the E46 was offered with an M-Sport Package that included stiffer springs, different wheels, and a number of exterior and interior trim pieces, many of which carried the ///M symbol, many of which I mentioned above. I guess it was a dealer sanctioned poser package based on your comments. To me it was a great way to add a unique package of goodies to my car and show my appreciation for the super engineering that is behind the ///M logo.

Whatever you want to do to your car to make you feel good, do it. I would not do it because I don't see any advantage of ///M head rest over the stock one. Also, save money for something else worth like: wheels, spring/suspension, spoiler, front lip and maybe blackline tail light.

OK guys that helps, changed my mind.
Maybe when real E90 M3 will come out I will get the real thing, but that is just sweet dreams. BTW one headrest is $225 $450 for two. |

Just put that little "M" sticker on your headrests like the sticker on the steering wheel in your avitar!

i rather not put any non performance-related M accessories in e90.

I have an ///M t-shirt does that make me . . . . Aww, forget it, just entertaining myself.
But in a real response, I think an M package is one thing, but doing things that would not necessarily be in an M packaged car is kind of silly, especially given the price. But in the end, its your car, and do whatever makes you feel good. |
