Wheel dilemma

Just about to place my order for Hockenheim Silver, but am struggling over which wheel color to choose. I thought I would ask for some help in the form of a non-scientific survey. What color 788s did you choose with Hockenheim?

Bi-color here. Disclosure: I've never been a fan of back wheels, and, although these are better (because they are basically bi-color too), the design gets a bit lost IMO.

I had the opportunity to see them side by side and I chose the silver ones (bicolor), even the black ones are nice but always seem dirty and you almost don't see the difference when they are clean.
The 437s are nice but dated to me and they match better with BSM in my opinion.

The 437s look awful. I have the bi Color 788s but am planning on powder coating them gloss black.

Great pic. Thanks. I am not usually a fan of black rims, but these are better than most

Where there's a will there's a way. Get 437s. I got them on my HS and IMHO they look awesome. Also, it's a way to make the relatively common Hockenheim silver very uncommon!

I was always 50/50 between the two options and ended up going with the Bi Color wheels for HS spec color. Happy with the color contrast it gives my M2C along with Tinted Windows and the Carbon Fiber mirror caps.

Well obviously. But he is trying to order and figuring what to option. My point is that he cannot option 437m in the US. Obviously he can get them aftermarket. But that wasn't the question.

I advice the color black for the rims ... otherwise the color silver Hock is not beautiful ... go for full black because later you will regret it

Those were helpful as well. I don't think I can go wrong with either color.

A few more hours/days of obsessing over this and I will be all set to order!!

Sucks that you guys can’t get 437’s as at least they have a concave look and don’t look like a wheel that came from a Pontiac parts bin like the 788.

Order with "Black" wheels - Code: 29U

I struggled with this as well when I ordered my M2C sight unseen in mid-18. Happy I went with the black on my HS vehicle. Both styles are actually black on the barrels. The difference is in the face of the wheel. The 29U's are more like a brushed nickel and 2QT's have chrome look to the finish.

Interesting how quickly some folks on this forum misinterpret posts and can't resist jumping on others for their opinions. I didn't mean where there's a will TO ORDER the car from a dealer in the U.S. with 437s there's a way to do that. I meant that if he was really interested in putting 437s on his car there are ways to get that done, and not necessarily for a small fortune. As you yourself suggest, he could purchase them aftermarket (mine are used, actually swapped for the wheels that came on the car).

People - we all have our opinions about colors and options. Try not to dump on others for having a different opinion. A little more civility would make this a nicer place to be.

Huh...? How was I not being civil and how was I stomping on someone else's opinion? I'm lost. Maybe it's because you cannot express tone over written word?

There was a question about what to option. Someone answered that he should option a 437m. While a 437m in that guy's opinion looks better, the OP cannot physically option it that way, and I pointed that out. Never did I shit on that original response that the 437m is worse or a terrible choice, etc. in fact, I prefer it to the 788m as well. But again, that was not the question.

Then you decided to point out the obvious - that OP can get them aftermarket - in what I can only assume was an attempt to point how stupid I was for not considering an obvious aftermarket option (see how hard it is to read tone?). But again, that was not the question. So I clarified that, of course you can go 437m aftermarket if that's your preference, but you cannot option it that way, which again was the question.

And then from all that, you got that I hated on or wasn't tolerant of someone's opinion about 437m being a better rim for the M2C? How the hell did you get there?

I too believe in civility on the forum and am very often tolerant of other's opinions even if I disagree with them. Just look at my post history. The only disagreements I ever get into are about facts, and yes, sometimes I'm wrong, you know, like people.

So, apologies if for some reason you interpreted my posts otherwise.

EDIT: In light of gmazet's post below, you may have meant to thrust much of your post at someone else.
If so, sorry for the confusion.
