Question Solid Reliable Low Profile Floor Jack Wanted

Now that I have a Z4 I need to get a reliable floor jack that will fit under Z4 as well as handle the weight of my 77 Camaro. The reviews for Craftsman jacks are less than appealing, as most people complain of them not working after about 14-18 months.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks...

I've had my Craftsman jack for almost 2 years - never had any problems with it.

nmulax, most of my tools are Craftsman so I'm willing to consider. May I ask what model you have?

Thanks

Craftman jacks SUCK. Do a search on its reviews and you'll know. I went through 3 sets of craftman jack last year and stopped bothering with them.

For quality floor-jacks, get them at Harbor Freight.

GP20, I need a minimum 3 ton jack and the Harbor Freight low profile models do not quite handle that. I'm not too excited about the Craftsman models... I did read the reviews.

May I ask what floor jack model you have?

Thanks everyone for their input, after searching around and reading reviews I ended up ordering an Arcan 3 1/2 ton jack from Northern Tool. It has a nice low profile and good max lift height at 21 3/8".

Not the lightest jack out there, but should also allow me to work safely on the SUV.

Thanks again!

How is this working for you? Will it fit under the front of your Z4 and does it reach all the way to the center lift point?

Bit late, but next time try AC Hydraulic DK20.
Best I have ever used.

COLIN///M, I hate to say it but I have not received it yet.... (Optimistic on delivery, , and selected standard ground 7-12 long business days)

It should be here by Tuesday...

I'm not sure if it will reach the center point, but when it gets here I'll give it a shot and post a couple of pictures.

VoiD, I missed that model while searching for a floor jack... as COLIN///M asked above, will the AC reach the center lift point. BTW for future reference who in the US carries that model?

I finally received my floor jack (Only four weeks to deliver...) the manufacture stated unexpected increase in orders. Anyway it certainly is solid, and appears to be everything I expected.

It will not reach the front center lift point without placing a couple of cheaters (short patio bricks) under the front wheels first. But it certainly will handle my Camaro and SUV. Specs and Pics below.

Specs:
Rated Load Cap: 3 1/2 Tons
Low Height: 3 1/2"
High Height: 21 3/8"
Overall Length: 27 1/2"
Width: 14"
Low Height reach (under): 12 1/2"
Weight: 104 lbs.
