Enhanced bluetooth fail - corrupted CADF?
Following a guide through I seemed to have ended with an error message relating to ethernet. It repeats the error each time I try to code.
I've got the HU_ENTRY on a F30 Base Audio package. I dont think I have the BMW assist as no SOS button in the car. I coded to 6NK and then even tried 6NS but with no success either. I did try doing it several times and eventually when loading the SVT think i may have corrupted or caused a problem which meant when trying to apply the changes it didn't show the CADF file under HU_ENTRY when trying to code the changes. I added it back in but now shows as red text. I did notice that the Istep on the car is different than the option I have on my downloaded PSDZ files. Not sure if I need the exact same to fix this? Before I deleted it, i didn't note what version it was before hand. I've only been learning all of this tonight so please bear with me if my terminology is off. I have searched lots on the forums but my technical knowledge has ended already and im struggling on what to search for to try fix and get it working. The cable and laptop is OK as I've coded lights, windows all OK so far after giving up on the enhanced bluetooth |

Use “detect CAFD”.
If you can’t find it, I’ll help over Teamviewer. |

That's the CAF detect I saw mentioned. The detect CAF for SWE? That added a CADF file back into the HU_ENTRY but not sure if I need to save or fo anything else before trying to code. Or potentially my HU just isn't capable of enhanced audio |

You managed to get it working somehow. Thanks again for your time, much appreciated.
I started process again and successfully back to 6NH. I use that as a basis to try 6NK and 6NS. Neither were successful and I don't have the com box so didn't try that 6NL at all. I tried changing a fdl code by manually, by looking under bluetooth audio of the HU_ENTRY CAFD Section. It was not active, changed to active. Coding ran fine but no changes on idrive. Anyone any ideas on if I physically cant have bluetooth audio? I've got basic audio speakers and no NAV or anything. Any help massively appreciated as bluetooth audio would help remove the ugly wire in place at the moment! |
