So I got a PCN for driving my 2019 Euro 6 X3 M40i in central London surely this is a mistake but has anyone else had this issue?

I just checked my car here, and it came back fine. Are you sure it’s for ULEZ?

Yes absolutely a PCN for the ULEZ!

If I could work out how to, I'd post a photo of it for you.

I'd appeal against the PCN and use your V5 as evidence of the emissions standard. It may just be they got the license plates mixed up with another car or they simply have the wrong information associated with your license plate.

Whaaaaat that shouldn't happen! Our PPFs should be good for something at least! Agree just appeal and it should be sorted.

Private plate yes but it shows up on the system as they have the correct make model and colour of car on the PCN

Update: I'm told that another X3 M40i owner purchased from the same dealer has the same issue.

The problem lies with TfL.

I have a Nissan Juke as a company car, Euro 6, 65 plate. When ULEZ was first announced, I used the online checker and it said the car did not meet the standards.

After some emails to TfL that they were wrong (attached documentation, and letter from leasco) they initially stuck to their guns they were right. Then 3-4 weeks on, I checked again, and the car had become acceptable to avoid the ULEZ charge. No explanation, nothing.

As a test, I've found a 2019 X3 on Auto Trader, input the reg no. and there is no ULEZ charge, so clearly their info is erroneous.
