Vernasca Red Leather - Defective?

Hi all,

Picked up the X4 M40i with red Vernasca seats a month ago. Starting to notice some defects in stitching of front seats. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

Brought it in and SA has taken pictures to send to BMW. Waiting to see if repair will be approved.

Let me know if anyone has similar experiences and what has the outcome been.

I don't know if that warrants replacement
I actually had to look at the pics a few seconds to see what you're talking about
Once you're in the seat a couple thousand miles it'll look like that even if they replace

Thanks. Do you think the stitching holes are defects? This is my only issue.

I'm having a guess....but looking at the pics, it seems that at that point (sorry..no pun intended) it looks like the needle has run out of thread and carried on.

I don't think that's the case, more likely that the thread holes have torn slightly when the cover was stretched over the seat. The covers are stretched very tightly to avoid any creases in the leather.

That's what I figured as well. I'll just live with it. Thx!
