Recommended US auto transport companies

Hi all,

I'm going to be moving from Texas to Ohio soon and need to ship my 2019 X4 M40i. Any recommended transport or brokerage companies? Also, any related tips?

Thanks

I have used Horseless carriage twice while I was in active duty...from Virginia to Washington State and back. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. As far as tip, I gave none. Price was high enough as it was.

Intercity Lines and Reliable are very highly regarded, and priced accordingly. I've used both and their service is impeccable.

Or you can save a bundle by contracting with a carrier on www.uship.com

Thanks guys. Unfortunately both of those carriers informed me that they don't service the route needed.

A bunch of brokers are offering to do it, but after reading their reviews and all the horror stories I think I'm just going to drive it myself. Wasn't planning to, but I also just passed the 1200 break-in mark today so could be a fun drive.

Here's a thought, go here https://www.professionaldrivers.com/ and take a look. A few years ago I was looking into working as a driver for this company, cannot recall the owners name but he's been doing this for quite some time if I recall correctly.

Good luck on your move! / Bill

Interesting option. Got a quote and the pricing isn't unreasonable, but already set things in motion to do the drive myself tonight instead of shipping in a couple weeks.

Thanks! Was a good 1,100 mile drive. The active cruise control and lane keeping worked surprisingly well.

Biggest complaint are the vented seats. I haven't had much issue with them with normal driving but after a couple hours my lower back was killing. It was better after some adjustments, but still painful. Drove in my nephew's Lexus RX yesterday and immediately noticed how but better my lower back felt without even adjusting. I think I'm going to try following one of those seat adjustment videos people have posted, but I think I had roughly done that before.

Other complaint is that I couldn't have Waze and iDrive nav going at the same time. I thought it was possible before where you'd use iDrive nav so that you get the HUD and set Waze to only audio alerts to get the police warnings. But now it would immediately turn off iDrive nav. I suppose I could connect phone audio with regular Bluetooth instead of CarPlay but want CarPlay active.

Glad to hear all is well--minus the seat issue. Yeah, I love my HUD, but I also like waze...
