1st & 2nd gear dragging

When letting of the gas and let the car coast until it reaches the speed to downshift to 2nd, the car suddenly slows down and it feel like it's dragging.

To check if the dragging coming from the brakes, I put it on N while slowing down and it was smooth and the dragging effect didn't happen.

I know it's not just the normal "engine braking" cause I've already drove another 340i

Any idea to look for?

This "dragging" feeling is different from the automatic downshift from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st when you reach the minimum speed threshold for a given gear?

The dragging is felt when the car downshifts from 3rd to 2nd & 2nd to 1st
And also that same feeling is also felt when upshifting from 1st to 2nd & 2nd to 3rd

The "engine braking" in (1st & 2nd) is too much to handle

Automatic transmission

I will tell you one fact, going to the dealer is pointless, they will disregard this as normal. Rather try to find a ZF transmission service shop...

I have a jerking issue with the trans, I want to take it to ZF shop. As I looked like an idiot trying to show them and convince them... Other people feel it and even asked about it if it broken...

It sounds like engine braking to me, to be honest. Has this been happening since the BM3 tune? I know when I went JB4, the increased torque caused my engine braking to be much more pronounced.

Excessive engine braking, I shouldn't be like that.

The car has no tune

Do the transmission adaptation reset. If you drive like a dork (BM3 amplifies this, I know!) then the shift pressures increase and so does the engine braking. Mine starts to gain a really harsh 5->4 shift if I'm aggressive on the throttle.

But I'm completely stock, the dealer also did the transmission reset with no results

Happens stock as well. You might just have different TCU firmware that keeps the torque converter locked different than the car you drove.

What is the TCU?
Does different software for the module can fix the issue?

Transmission Control Unit. Maybe yes, maybe no.

If it's not broken, why worry about "fixing" it? You are just getting more engine braking in low gears which is a nice thing when driving.

In every driving mode, even eco pro.
It feels like something lock up and slow the car immediately
