Huge paint chip a week after PPF

Exactly one week after I got the Xpel installed I get this huge chip. You guys think it’s fixable with the touch up paints they sell online?

oh shit, that was one strong object. Its hard to fix with the xpel on it- the shop just cant do the R&R.

I know its an eye sore cause you know exactly where its at but the layman's line of sight wont catch that up front. You might opt to cut off a section of the film and paint it. Touch up will look pretty blotchy for that big of an area IMHO.

touch it up and leave it be. I say this because you won't want to remove the entire PPF to repaint the entire bumper. Blending obviously isn't an option on a car like this.

Be thankful it's on the lower side, and not dead center or something. sucks.

Damn, that's a good size ding.

I would try what TrevorM3 indicated; I'm OCD so that option would not work for me. Maybe try to have it blended since it's not really in the line of sight; you will have to have the PPF re-done but it does a decent job of hiding imperfections.

Good luck!

i wouldn't blend any panel on a car like this. People with these kinds of cars are different in the way they go about things. Unless a customer told me the car is going back in two weeks, thats a different story. ;

100%

If it's me ... removing PPF and re-painting the entire bumper and then PPF again.

My buddy just had a bumper portion repaired and they just painted a small piece where the damage was and it looked pretty good. The discerning eye can tell slightly but so much better than touch up paint IMO.
