Brake pedal positioning?

I had a little of this issue on the wife's X1, and noticed it on my X2 now. I can't seem to get the seating position right so that the brake pedal isn't so "high". I know I'm not used to driving the car quite yet, but the brake pedal sits really high. As a result I have a tendency to "jab" at the brake as it grabs and then the car slows down it jerks my foot more. I tried raising the seat height to the max and back a little which sort of helps, but it just seems a little off. Anyone have a magical solution or adjustment strategy? If I could get the seat to bucket more I thought I could help this, but it seems like both extremes of adjustment isn't quite getting me there. 100 miles in so far. I know I'll get more used to it but still seems a little off.

Do you have kinda short legs? The reason I ask is my wife does the same thing but I don’t have a problem.

Hmm not unusually short . I'm 5'6" but I figured longer legs would be more problematic. See my foot itself has to bend a little higher up I'd say..or if the leg bolsters were higher then I could rest my leg higher and not have to"pull" my leg/foot as high up. It's more the grabbing point of the brake seems higher so me tendency is to push more so my foot is flatter. Hard to explain. Another example is the minivan. It has a very high lazy boy like seat but the pedal sits closer to the floor and the grabbing point is lower so no problems.

I have my seat low but the bottom tilted up but I have long legs so my legs never touch the movable bolster at all.
