Aftermarket exhaust
Hi, I have bought an aftermarket exhaust which is straightpiped. Altough the sound in low revs is really good, after 3-4k rpm it doesnt burble anymore, the sound is almost the same as with stock exhaust, but just louder. It also resonates a bit in the drivers cabin in lower revs, so I was wandering if remelting part of the exhaust and adding catalytic converter would make some bangs in high revs and if it might do something with the cabin sound.
The left one on the picture is stock from bmw, right one is aftermarket. I´m fairly new to automobile modifications and appreciate any help and opinions. Thanks |

To fix the drone, you'll need to add in a resonator. Not sure why you don't get any burbles at high revs.
Add in the longest Vibrant Resonator you can fit. https://vibrantperformance.com/catal...1527_1032_1055 https://vibrantperformance.com/catal...2c12056ec5d9b6 Adding a catalytic converter will only make the exhaust more restrictive. Not recommended at all. |
