Ah the joys of being a gentleman of leisure!

After five years the startup company I've been working for has finally bitten the dust and I'm free, however, I'm also bored after one day and considering gadgets as a therapy - there must be a way I can claim a new iPhone from the Government

Now, should I:
a) Laze around the house for a while before going back to work?
b) Embark on an epic roadtrip in the BMW?
c) MOT the bike and embark on a slightly less epic roadtrip on the ZX-9R?
d) Invest in some serious gadgets and pretend nothing happened?
e) Finish the bloody kitchen off?

I know which one my other half is going to suggest

P.S. If anyone needs a software person with a couple of months short of a quarter of a century (jesus) of experience covering most things from development to project and department management then PM me

Sadly I was brought up to work for a living, claiming anything fills me with horror.

e) first I'm afraid Dave, but with a view that WHEN the kitchen is finished you then execute plan b) thus giving you time to contemplate your naval and decide what you want to do as a career.

Boring I know, but that's why I'm a civil servant.

Take it you knew this was on the cards?

Oooo got on that roadtrip

At the end of last year / beginning of this year, my best friend and I went to Spain, we toured the South of England, France, then onto Spain ending up in Marbella, there we stayed til we ran out of money!! Then it was a case of nursing the '44 back on as little petrol as possible.....best two months of my life

Mind you if I'd have bothered to get a job out there theres no way I would have come back Should have thought about it really

Just enjoy your time, go on a road trip, blow your savings, be irresponsible, trust me it's awesome not to have a care in the world

Well, if you don't do e) then you might as well do either b) or c) and just keep going. Anything other than e) will have her
