Bootmod3 and resonator delete exhaust clips

Took a few clips of my 340i with ProTuningFreaks BM3 Stage 1 and dual resonator delete.

Do you have a MPPSK exhaust (like the X3 M40i) where there is a mid muffler after the mid pipe? Or is it an actual resonator?

How's the drone in Comfort? Sport? Are you able to still use the flap control on the rear muffler to shut down the pops when you want?

The 340/440s come with two resonators in the stock midpipe and the rear suitcase muffler with valve. I removed the 2 resonators and still have the stock rear suitcase muffler.

Zero drone in comfort mode or sport+. BM3 turns the pops/burbles off in comfort mode and they are adjustable in sport and sport+. Valve still works the same as stock to quiet it down slightly in comfort. Inside the car it really isn't very loud regardless of what mode I'm in.

Ah, interesting. My X3 M40i has the MPPSK exhaust which has no resonators, but just a mid-muffler and rear pancake muffler with the valve on the drivers side.

Totally wondering how much drone there would be if my mid muffler was deleted?

I also have an ER catted DP and Stage 2 93 BM3.

I just want to make the right choice to slightly improve the sound, but make sure it's civil enough for my wife.

Is the popping purely a tuning option?
I recall MHD having that option on N54 tunes.
Sounds great though. Guessing $300 mod for res delete?

Yes the popping is a user adjustable tuning option. You can have different settings for sport and sport+ modes.

I was actually quoted $100 for the midpipe, ended up getting a deal on a Dinan midpipe though.

Nice!
I have an F36 and apparently Dinan isn't a direct fit.
so not sure it's worth it over just cutting them out.

Any decent exhaust shop should be able to cut them out and fab something up for you, in your case I'd go that route.

I have an f36 and previously had the Dinan midpipe put on with minor adjustments. No cutting, welding required.

Marked in red, position 1 is primarily where I had the issue with the cross brace and the mid pipe touching. I was able to rotate the midpipe and make a small indent to prevent any more noise. I pushed the heat shielding a little bit to create a tiny bit more space. The small indent is small enough it won't affect flow. In the blue or marked in blue is where you MAY or MAY NOT need to cut to re-level the tailpipe outlets. When you rotate the midpipe it can cause the muffler to point upwards which pushes your tips down.

Forgive me as it's been over a year and I don't remember 100%. I changed to MPPSK recently.
