335i mpe on 340i
I haven't really found a clear answer to this but I was wondering if a 335i mpe would fit on my 340i. I found a great deal but I dont want to be left with an exhaust that doesnt fit my car

Go for it, bring it to an exhaust shop and they'll make it fit. As long as your rear bumper has the diffuser piece with cut out for each tips side (drive/passenger). They'll let you know if you could use the clamps or requires welding.

Do you know what fabrication/modifications had to be done? I usually install my own exhausts and have access to a lift, saw/cut off tool, and regular tools but not a torch/welder. Would I be able to do it myself without torch/welder? Is the alignment off from the MPE to the car's exhaust? Was this for an axleback or catback?
And for the valve, do you just take the actuator off the stock exhaust and reuse it and bolt it onto the valve on the MPE and the bolts light up and work? |
