4 Series
I’ve just been told that 4 series are not a very desirable model, is this correct? I had planned to buy one but am concerned about eventual resale etc.

The 4 Series is the coupe, correct? People who want or need four doors wouldn't want a coupe. But that's not everybody . . . and the coupes are very attractive beasts. You don't see too many two-door cars of any stripe any more. Even pickups have swollen into four-door six-seaters.
Isn't the important thing, though, how you feel about the given model? Resale, hmph, a lot can happen between now and then. The only reason I bought a four-door is because I have two cats who need to go to the vet, or with me if we bug out for a hurricane, and trying to get two hard plastic-and-metal carriers into the back seat of a two-door is asking for door dings and chipped paint. I'd love a two-door. |

It is a gran coupe and has 4 doors. I adore this car and I bought it knowing it was a 4 door coupe, so I can’t be the only person in the country who likes it. And BMW themselves have found there market enough to manufacture them??

Haha. I like that analogy! I guess the comment rubbed me up the wrong way too much, as if I was some kind of idiot for buying a 4 series. I prefer brunettes...but wouldn’t say no to a blonde. |
