Strange Cllimate Control behavior ?
I've had this happen to me twice so far - I'm driving along on my commute and suddenly it feels quite warm in the car... so I say to myself "Led (I call myself Led), it is just me or is it hot in here?". Looking down at the climate control I see it has set itself to 83 degrees and is cranking out the heat big time.
This morning was the second time this has happened recently. I'm 99.9% sure that I didn't bump anything, and I know I didn't turn it up. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Doesnt Led melt at a relatively low temperature ?
Or was that Lead ? Used your wifes key ? Maybe its the key memory remebering a different temp ?

Broken1 - I have a team of phycologists that attend to me regularly... so far their still scratching their heads. It could very well be an alternate personality... but which one!
Fleet - I had that fleeting (no pun intended) thought too, but I am using my own key (otherwise my face would be squished into the steering wheel). Also, the temp is my normal setting when I first turn the system on, but then after some time it is suddenly at 83 degrees. Quite curious.

LOL...you are not losing your mind. Mine has actually done this twice during the first week of ownership. It hasn't done it lately. I thought the same thing; that I had accidentally hit something and turned it up. Kind of strange.

I keep it at 69 on my side and 70 on the passenger side. The weird thing is that the passenger side setting didn't change either time. It was cold outside - about 37-39 degrees. I also turn off the A/C portion when the heat is on after it reaches temperature.

Haha... not only do I talk to myself I often also laugh heartily at my own jokes.
Anyway, I've experienced the same thing a couple of times over the winter even though I haven't touched the temperature settings the whole season and I leave the fan on auto. I didn't really think anything of it at the time, but now that you mention it... it was a bit weird. |

Sounds like a Subaru AC system, they're the worst.
LED, sounds like you got a problem. My AC is flawless (like me). Just this time please don't start an "inflammatory" thread if it isn't fixed right away!

Hey Led Zep, the same thing's been happening to me for a while now...I know I posted this same exact thing a few weeks ago. Hold on while I look it up.
I'm taking in my car tomorrow and that's another thing I'm going to mention. |

It happened to me asswell over the weekend. I had the climate controll on 16 degrees both sides and all of a sudden I felt heat comming through the system and I mean heat, like 32 degrees all of a sudden.
WTF!!! I thought I was dreaming but now I know there is some ghost in the machine some where. What to do, seeing that there are quite a few members out there with this damn problem.
