Driver's Profile Issue

Hi all,

Every time I start a car it is asking me to sign in to my profile. If i do, everything seems normal afterwards until I shut off the engine and need to start the car. It is then asking me to sign in again.
Sometimes I press "back" instead of signing in and everything seems normal also. I check my profile and it seems that I am logged in. But then again same issues after restarting the engine. So annoying. Any ideas how to fix it? Everything was normal in the beginning, it started 2 months later.

Thanks in advance!

I seem to remember this happening to me once. Try logging into the Guest profile and then back into yours and see if that works.

Driver Profile

What version of IDrive are you on? It may need to be updated to latest version, unfortunately this is a dealer service dept. install as over the air updates don't work yet.

I was having the same problem with the 11/2018.55 version. After updating to the software to 03/2019.30 I'm now able to log into my connected drive profile in the car.

I am able to log on and stay logged in the profile. It just requires to sign in every time I start the car even though I am logged in.....

That usually means there is a bad password saved. Mine was like that when I first got it so I logged into Guest and then back into mine and cleared the existing username and password and logged in again. All worked fine after that.

Agree with this - bad password or username, so there are multiple entries. You can display them (I think it's by pushing disc to the right) but you can't delete them, even though Genius told me you could.

I had to delete the profile and recreate it.

If I remember correctly I was able to delete what was in there but maybe I just typed over the entry and all was well. Maybe I hit the option button when they were displayed but don't know for sure.

POS does this to me frequently. I reboot the system and it sometimes fixes that. Doesn't matter, tons of crap still doesn't work it just clears the stupid login demand. IDrive 7 has soured me on BMW forever. I'll never own another BMW.
