Any Portland area peeps up for a drive?

Saturday or Sunday, 8/2 or 3? Earlier is better for me, but I could make anytime work. Weather should be good. Suggest Peet's Mountain Road and south of town to maybe Silverton area.

My friend who has an E93 M3 might go possibly, still unsure though. I can shoot a PM over to Gator Greg and 993 911 too and see if they can go too.

Ah I was out of town at the beach this weekend, perhaps next weekend we could get something going? A few guys on 1addicts want to make something happen. I'm sure we could get a group of 10-15.

Portland Chapter BMWACA's Willamette Valley tour is this Saturday. I might try to make that. No details on the website yet, though.

Hopefully we can do something soon, it looks like the BMW ACA Event this weekend should be good, but we'll have to do something aside from that later.

Are there a lot of 1addicts members in the Portland area? I have been on that website briefly but I did see Silverbullet135i's car. That is an awesome 1, he's on this forum too.

The local club is "BMWACA" (...Automobile Club of America), not BMWCCA. Check out the website here: http://www.bmwacaportland.org/. HPDE days coming up at PIR (August & September) and other events. No one will be checking for membership for the drive, I'm sure.

I haven't been on one in years. There was one I remember, however, where some were getting a little too crazy. This may be totally different, though. I like brisk, sporty driving without ignoring common sense and putting others in danger.

I'll probably be there, long as I don't have a hangover!

Today's drive

Thanks to Greg Anthony of Portland Chapter BMWACA for setting up a fabulous route for us today--very scenic with lots of mountains and twisty roads. There were 8 cars, including three E92 M3s. I must say I was very impressed with my car's EDC set in Normal. Handled everything thrown at it without complaint. I think I hit one bump stop once. I'm still very happy with the Eisenmann Sport, as well.

We logged about 80 miles by the lunch stop, when I had to leave.
