Captain Seat Recall

Only 31 vehicles. Sounds like unsold ones sitting on dealer lots

I think someone is about to jump on here and say that BMW intentionally designed loose seatbelts to enhance passenger comfort.

My passenger side second row captain chair is making a constant rattling noise. Took it too the service center and they believe it’s a defective floor rail that needs to be replaced. Unfortunately this car is so new that BMW hasn’t assigned part numbers to various components. Service advisor tells me part number should be assigned soon at which point a replacement rail can be ordered. Hopefully that does the trick!

Would have never noticed this issue if the cabin wasn’t so dang quiet!

Wonder how they ordered and manufactured the part to build the vehicle if they didn't have part numbers - "Hey steel fabricator - make the chair rail thingy for this X7. Here's the fabrication drawing. Thanks!"
