Well, since I live here in the lovely desert, tint is a must. Found a very good shop in North Scottsdale. Went with 3m film, 20% all the way around. It came out awesome!

I usually just use a sunshade for the front. I've never tinted the front in any of my cars---I hear it works pretty good......

From what I could research online, the e90 is a very simple car to tint. Simple for professionals, I mean. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Was considering Huper Optik, but 6 bills for a tint job is a little too much. The 3m came out really sweet!

i got my e92 tinted, and the "tinter" used 3m tint. He did a shitty job, i feel like a fucking teenager driving a beat up civic. the tint does not complement the car. Getting it re tinted at a REAL pro tint shop this time.

Looks a bit dark againts the blue, but I guess you did it for practical reasons most of all. I wonder how much tints help in such situations.

I always thought the darker tint looked better on the darker colors, but to each his own! The difference is very noticeable, that's why I'm taking the chance with the cops and the illegal 20%

It's called Autopark tint, they are on Hayden, just south of frank lloyd wright blvd. I paid 375 for 5 windows (included a 25 dollar charge to do 20% on the front windows). I went with the 3m film. They also have other brands that are probably alot cheaper. I was very pleased with the service and the workmanship! PM for the phone number or just google them!

Man, I was freaking out about finding a good tint shop. You would think they are easy to find here in AZ, but I didn't want to go with just anyone. As soon as I walked in the door, the owner called me by name, and that alone I knew I made a good choice.
