iPod Touch issues

My iPod Touch (latest generation 128GB) is recognized but is not functioning normally. It was working perfectly in my 2017 X3 35i M-Sport, so I'm at a loss as to the problem.

The car controls will not allow for changing tracks. Also, I do not have shuffle enabled, but the iPod is shuffling and then not allowing me to change the track, skip the track. Weird too, that I can search and see all my music, but if I choose a new track it goes right back to what it was doing.

I've tried everything... using the touchscreen, the steering wheel scroll button, etc. I'm on the latest software, both the car and my iPod too.

Can anyone confirm this? Seems very strange as the same iPod worked flawlessly in my 2017.

Streaming does work, but the audio quality & volume is much better off USB.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is all your software up to date (12.2)? Which iPod touch model are you using?

Dont connect through the usbc hub in the armrest. Use the usb connection in front of the shifter in the tray. My iPod wouldn't work at all in the usbc. Now it works fine with the usb
