CPO BMW Pricing - 2016 435XI Grand Coupe
Hi everyone,
Super excited to purchase my first 2016 435 XI Grand Coupe. It has very low miles (2500 miles only - was a lease return vehicle). But before I do, I wanted to get some feedback from everyone if the purchase makes sense. The following are the features of the car: 1. Saddle Brown Dakota Leather 2. Cold Weather Package 3. Driver Assistance Package 4. Driver Assistance Plus Package 5. M Sport Package 6. Technology Package All in price is $37.5. Any thoughts if this is a good deal? Thanks DK |

I am guessing $37.5K is before any tax and fees?
To be honest this is not bad, GC seems to price higher than the 3 series and 4 series coupe. This one is extremely low miles, pretty much fully loaded (I am assuming it has Harman Kardon), and still carries some factory warranty. If the color is your ideal choice, has CPO (extra year) warranty, and the M (blue) brakes, $37.5K seems very fair to me. I got my 2015 435i coupe with 23K miles for $32K out the door last September, and that was low for a M sport with tech package, HK, and Coral Red interior. At least in CA. |

For the price and the miles it's very good.
I paid 35.5K not including the tax and fees for a 2016 435GC fully loaded except for the M brakes with 11K miles. I should mention it also was black interior so less desirable, but had all the options I wanted. This was about 1.5 months ago. |

Actually it’s $37.5K out the door. It does have the Harmon kadron sound system as well. However, it doesn’t have the M brakes (the colored calipers) but does have the RIMS are 18” M rims.

I am thinking 18" wheel provides a higher level of comfort and they are cheaper to replace, while 19" are more responsive when turning. I can be wrong though. But since the purchase is made, you should really enjoy the car if it doesn't cause any financial stress. Overpaying could be an expensive lesson, but again you found a very nice deal! |

The price sounds great. My only concern would be why so few miles. If it is a lease return, then it has been driven for three years or an average of just over 800 miles a year. Who leases a BMW to drive less than 1K miles per year? Was something wrong with the car?

OP, nice car. DA+, tech, Msport is pretty golden. Lighting package is cool, but the base lights are already adaptive xenon so not a deal breaker. Dont worry about the mileage, worry about whether the paint is original or not. |

DA+ is an absolute necessity for me, and I am a major fan of adaptive cruise. Autopark is still a bit more party-trick than useful in my opinion. Extra sensors on the side of the car is useful for manual parking though. |

Could the seller provide more information about the previous owner? |

As a lease return, info on the previous driver is generally not available unless they left info in the idrive. Often a low mileage lease is a low distance commuter, or second vehicle/dual residence.

Hi everyone,
I did explore the reason for low mileage and turns out that the previous owner bought the car for his retirement home. The owner was canadian so he did show up that often and hence the low miles. I reviewed the carfax as well and everything including the maintenance checks out. Hope this helps. |

You may have found the elusive cream puff, independent inspection and if no problems reported I’d say buy it.

Reading stuff like this makes me feel like I got ripped off. Paid 35k all in (inc tax and registration) for CPO 2016 340xi with 28k miles 😖

From a 2015 335 RWD data point, I recently got mine with 7k miles for 34k. Non-CPO.
Driver Assistance Tech Package M Sport M Performance brakes (Yellow) M Performance Exhaust M Performance Side skirt extensions Carbon Side Mirror Covers Carbon Rear Spoiler Carbon Exhaust Tip covers Black Kidney Grills Shadowline Trim (not sure if that's part of the M sport package) 20" 405m With yours being CPO, year newer, and 4GC, I think you have a good deal there. You're basically getting the car for almost half off and its brand new.

Where I live; Silicon Valley, people over pay for things everyday so deals are far and few. For the last few years, i've wanted a new Raptor--dealers here are marking them up to 100K. $30K OVER MSRP, and people are buying. I'd have to look to buy in the East Coast if I wanted one for MSRP. Too much money here I guess. |

I had bad creaks on my F80. Gummi Pfledge works, but only for a few weeks and the creaks come back.

Thanks everyone! I am glad I found this forum! I am also very excited about the car! I passed on the extended and also the maintenance package as I can get them anytime before my warranty goes out. Once I feel little more comfortable with the car, I would love to get the M brake package.
Here is video of the car: http://vid.penskecars.com/v/ZsiGQ7YAo8 |
